Job Description:

learnd are seeking a detail-driven and design-minded Smart Buildings UI & Graphics Engineer to create, develop, and maintain high-quality PX files and BMS graphical user interfaces using Niagara 4 and/or IQVISION. This is a fully remote role focused on delivering clean, consistent, and technically accurate BMS graphics that align with our company's graphical standards. You will work in close collaboration with project-assigned Commissioning Engineers to ensure that all controller logic, I/O changes, HLIs, point lists, and system updates are accurately and professionally reflected within the user interface. This Position blends technical BMS understanding with modern UI execution and graphical consistency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design and build PX files and BMS graphics using Niagara 4 and/or IQVISION
  • Apply company-standard graphical library/palette components consistently across all projects
  • Translate point schedules, controller strategies, and I/O configurations into intuitive and technically accurate user interfaces
  • Collaborate closely with Commissioning Engineers to reflect controller changes, new I/O, HLIs, Histories, Alarms, and point modifications
  • Ensure graphics match live system behavior and sequences of operation
  • Maintain consistency in naming conventions, navigation structure, branding, and alarm representation
  • Update graphics in line with commissioning changes and design revisions
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, clarity, and usability of all delivered graphics
  • Support standardization efforts and contribute to the evolution of the company's graphical library
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting delivery deadlines

Requirements:

  • Proven experience creating BMS graphics in Niagara 4 and/or IQVISION
  • BMS architectures
  • Controllers, I/O structures, HLIs
  • HVAC plant schematics and system logic
  • Experience producing PX files and structured navigation hierarchies
  • Strong attention to detail and graphical consistency
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation (point lists, cause & effect, sequences of operation)
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate remotely with engineering teams
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Nice to have:

  • Commissioning or hands-on BMS engineering background
  • Understanding of UX/UI best practices within industrial or technical environments
  • Experience contributing to or developing graphical standards libraries
  • Exposure to multi-site or enterprise-level BMS projects
