The IT Quality Sr Analyst role at Citi is a seasoned professional position that combines in-depth disciplinary knowledge and industry expertise to improve processes and workflows within the quality assurance function. This role includes responsibilities such as User Acceptance Testing, software quality assurance testing, process monitoring, documentation, root cause analysis, and mentoring junior team members. It requires a deep understanding of QA methodologies, test management tools, and automation testing, with a focus on delivering high-quality software products and adhering to compliance standards.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for initiatives related to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process and product rollout into production, making recommendations for solutions and improvements
Conducts complex process monitoring, product evaluation and audit assignments
reports issues and makes recommendations for solutions
Ensures project standards and procedures exist, are fully/clearly documented and followed throughout the software development life cycle
makes recommendations for enhanced documentation
Monitors products for conformance to standards
monitors processes for conformance to procedures
identifies risks and recommends solutions
ensures annual organizational reviews of standards and procedures are conducted
Documents findings and performs root cause analyses to provide recommended improvements
Independently recommends solutions and improvements to existing standards and procedures
collaborates with other areas in technology to develop new standards and procedures
Ensures all corrective actions are assigned, documented and completed
Verifies traceability in project work products
Gathers, maintains, and creates reports on quality metrics
Acts as an advisor and mentor for junior members of the team
Makes evaluative judgments based on analysis of factual information in complicated and novel situations and provides solutions to problems
Has direct impact on the team and closely related teams by ensuring the quality of the tasks/services/information provided
Defines strategies to drive Data Quality measurement, produce Data Quality dashboards and reports, and implement Data Quality strategies to effectively govern data and improve Data Quality
Leads data improvement initiatives, processes, and creation of tools in line with requirements
Develops standards, procedures and guidelines for businesses and functions to better address Data Quality Management
Integrates subject matter expertise to guide the relationships with Data stakeholders with documentation of Data Quality standards, procedures, and requirements
Reports Data Quality issues through Citi’s corresponding Data/Issue management process
Contributes to the development of new techniques and processes for the assigned business or area
Oversees activities that support data quality resolution and optimizes the metrics reporting process
Supports senior management strategic vision.
Requirements:
8-12 years experience in an IT Quality role or Quality Assurance (QA) experience in the Financial Service industry preferred
Demonstrated execution capabilities
Development experience in a fast-paced, time-to-market driven environment
Experience with test automation, test scenarios and test scripts creation and modification
Comfortable with writing complex queries
Experience with reporting tools
Hands-on experience with testing automation tools
Project management experience preferred
Experience in requirement reviews & the ability to identify, communicate and document discrepancies
Understanding of QA within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
Understanding of Quality Processes
Demonstrated logical analysis skills, attention to detail and problem-solving
Proven ability to work to deadlines
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
QA experience in defining, designing & executing test cases
Experience in end-to-end functional testing of applications including requirements understanding, test scope defining, test data preparing, test case and scenario development, test execution, results analysis, and sign-off report
Knowledge and hands-on experience with Automation Testing
Expertise and experience in writing Shell scripting
Ability to define and analyze problems with Oracle PL SQL
QA experience in both manual & automation test
Experience on UI automation tests with Java or Python + Selenium is good to have
Experience working in Agile software development methodology
Requires deep understanding of and experience with test management tools such as Jira
Full self-sufficiency, ability to own tasks from beginning to end, pro-activeness
Deals with complex and highly variable issues with an engineering mind-set.
