The UH Janitor provides janitorial and custodial services for Unaccompanied Housing (UH) facilities in accordance with Navy housing cleanliness standards and sanitation requirements. Responsibilities include cleaning and maintaining common areas, hallways, restrooms, stairwells, and exterior entry areas to ensure a safe, clean, and orderly living environment for assigned personnel. The UH Janitor performs routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, and waste removal using approved cleaning materials and equipment. This role requires adherence to established safety, sanitation, and environmental procedures while performing daily cleaning operations. Additional duties include restocking cleaning and restroom supplies, reporting facility deficiencies or safety hazards, assisting with special cleaning projects, and maintaining janitorial storage areas in a clean and organized condition. The UH Janitor supports daily housing operations and quality‑of‑life initiatives in a remote, mission‑driven environment.
Job Responsibility

Requirements
1–3 years of experience in janitorial, custodial, or facilities cleaning services
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and safe use of cleaning chemicals
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, walking, and prolonged standing
Must be in possession of a valid Passport and be able to travel internationally
Passport should be valid for a minimum of 1 plus years at the time of hiring
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
Nice to have
Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills
Valid country driver's license
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)
