Unilever Food Solutions (UFS) is the foodservice division of Unilever, operating across more than 70 countries and serving professional chefs and foodservice operators globally. UFS Malaysia is accelerating its growth by strengthening operator (restaurant business owners & chefs) engagement, and omnichannel go to market execution, innovation and fast-paced digital transformation. We are looking for a commercially driven Operator Experience & Trade Marketing Manager to lead our trade marketing agenda and elevate how UFS engages and grows with operators. This multi-faceted role sits at the intersection of trade marketing, operator experience commercial execution and digital transformation and overlook critical parts of UFS Malaysia demand creation model.
Job Responsibility:
Leading the UFS Route to Market and Trade marketing execution
Shaping operator experience (Leading critical campaigns and growth models)
Daily exposure to cross functional leadership and commercial decision making
Opportunity to directly influence business growth at a strategic and operational level
Discover opportunities in Trade channels and develop growth strategies
Own trade marketing strategy, aligned with category, brand, and channel priorities
Identify key growth drivers at point of purchase and translate them into effective trade programs
Design trade promotions and activations strategies that drive sell-out and operator adoption
Partner closely with Sales teams to design trade initiatives that support volume delivery, promo effectiveness, and execution excellence
Manage and optimize trade investments, balancing short-term impact with long-term growth
Build a deep understanding of operator needs, behaviors, and business challenges across key operator groups
Proactively gather insights through field immersion, operator connects, sales feedback, data, and research
Design integrated offline and digital engagement journeys that improve operator recruitment, engagement, and conversion
Lead national operator campaigns, toolkits, and programs that drive reach, penetration, and usage growth
Plan and manage targeted media and engagement campaigns to support operator acquisition/retention and brand-building campaigns
Ensure media investments are strategically aligned to growth opportunities and key trade activations
Work with agencies to optimize media buy mix, targeting, and performance
Champion test and learn approaches to improve conversion and engagement across channels
Define and track KPIs across trade effectiveness, operator engagement, and sell-in/sell-out performance
Analyze results and translate learnings into clear actions and improvements
Monitor competitor and market dynamics to identify new opportunities
Act as a key link between Sales, Marketing, and Operation teams
Align stakeholders around priorities, programs, and execution standards
Manage external partners (agencies, suppliers) to deliver high-quality outputs
Parter with Martech and data teams to drive key projects driving transformation
Design and manage key components of the UFS Malaysia's state of the art tech stack
Design and implement technology use cases for business
Requirements:
Minimum 3-6 years experience in trade marketing, operator/shopper marketing, or commercial marketing, preferably within foodservice, FMCG, or B2B environments
Strong experience translating strategy into field ready trade and operator programs
Proven track record of working cross functionally with Sales and commercial teams
Experience in Data and Analytics, Statistics, would be highly beneficial
Commercially savvy, with a clear understanding of channels, promotions, and trade mechanics
Data driven and analytical mindset with ability to use insights to optimize performance
Excellent project management, stakeholder management, and agency leadership skills
Strong operator/shopper understanding and ability to convert insights into action
