A well-established regional law firm is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join its Estate & Trust Litigation, Estate Planning, and Administration practice in the firm’s Pittsburgh office. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented detail oriented who enjoys working on sophisticated estate matters and supporting attorneys in both planning and litigation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in estate planning, probate administration, and fiduciary litigation, and will play a key role in supporting attorneys while maintaining direct interaction with clients, financial professionals, and the courts.
Job Responsibility:
Draft and prepare substantive pleadings and correspondence for contested probate and fiduciary matters
Conduct legal research and assist with preparation of memoranda on probate and estate administration issues
Prepare and manage discovery, including interrogatories, subpoenas, and document requests
Assist attorneys with case management for estate and trust litigation matters, including organizing files and tracking deadlines
Prepare estate planning documents including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
Assist with the establishment of durable powers of attorney and medical directives
Support attorneys in developing estate planning strategies designed to minimize estate taxes and protect client assets
Assist with structuring trusts and estate plans to help clients avoid or streamline the probate process
Manage estate and trust administration matters from opening through closing, including preparation of filings and court documents
Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and clients throughout the estate planning and administration process
Requirements:
5–10 years of substantive experience in estate planning and estate administration
Experience supporting probate and fiduciary matters required
