This role will consist of ensuring accurate and timely preparation of trust tax returns, as well as providing tax planning and advisory services, reviewing trust documents and financial statements, providing tax support, monitoring the remittance of tax payments, corresponding with internal and external tax advisors, and ensuring tax reporting complies with federal and state laws. This candidate will also oversee a team of trust professionals, review and analyze trust documents, coordinate with management on key fiduciary findings, and assist with investment decisions and trust execution.
Job Responsibility:
Manage individual and corporate trust accounts
Assist with IRS filing systems
Keep abreast of all Trust rules and regulations
Identify and mitigate potential risk issues
Assist with client tax filing
Initiate the auditing process
Source and build prospect client pipeline
Build strong relationships with outside wealth advisors
Requirements:
5+ years of trust tax experience
2+ years of management/supervisory experience
Credentialed tax professional – CPA, EA or LLM
Proficient Microsoft Office skills, Advanced Excel
Trust or Financial services industry is also strongly preferred
Nice to have:
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance/Business Administration
