Job Description

Fever is looking for a Trust and Safety Intern to join our team in Madrid. We are seeking an open-minded, detail-oriented problem solver eager to dive into the world of platform integrity, investigations, and risk mitigation. In this role, you will help protect the Fever ecosystem by ensuring we work with legitimate partners and maintain the highest standards of trust. As a Trust and Safety Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in operational support, third parties screenings, due diligence, and policy creation. You will work closely with our specialists to conduct screenings, handle investigations, and support our Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) framework. We are looking for a 4 to 6 months full time period (length negotiable and/or adaptable to academic needs, including the need to work part time for all or part of the internship) to start as soon as possible (open to discussion). This is a unique opportunity to develop analytical skills in a fast-paced, cross-border environment while helping the company scale safely.

Job Responsibility

  • Operational Support: Assist in the creation and refinement of team policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Investigations: Support comprehensive research on potential and existing partners to identify and respond to Trust & Safety violations
  • Screening & Due Diligence: Perform KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYP (Know Your Partner) checks to verify the legitimacy of entities and individuals
  • TPRM Maintenance: Assist in the maintenance and support of our Third-Party Risk Management tools and databases
  • Reporting: Help prepare clear, detailed investigative reports and present findings to internal stakeholders
  • Fraud Detection: Collaborate with internal teams to identify patterns of fraud and abuse through OSINT and data analysis

Requirements

  • A Budding Specialist: Familiarity or academic knowledge of due diligence, KYC/KYP processes, or OSINT is highly valued

  • Communication Pro: Fluent in English and Spanish

  • Own the product risk assessment process end-to-end for new feature launches, including intake, scoping, risk categorization, mitigation tracking, launch readiness, and post-launch review
  • Serve as the primary trust & safety liaison to product and engineering for new product development, ensuring safety considerations are included early in specs, roadmap conversations, and launch planning
  • Lead trust & safety product thinking for AI-adjacent product work, including harm framework operationalization, launch readiness, tooling needs, queue impact, escalation paths, moderator training, and communications posture
