BrainWorks is working with a top law firm in New York looking for an experienced Trusts & Estates Paralegal to join their robust T&E practice.

Job Responsibility

  • Handle all phases of estate and trust administration, including probate
  • Prepare federal and state estate tax returns and fiduciary accountings
  • Extensive communication with clients
  • Distribute of estate assets and trust funding
  • Deed work

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of T&E experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Paralegal Certificate and/or a combination of either with work experience
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong written/verbal skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Maintain orderly electronic case files in Clio and keep records, correspondence, and supporting documents easy to access
  • Prepare exhibits, binders, and case materials for hearings, meetings, and other attorney needs
  • Communicate with clients to collect information, request records, and clarify outstanding items needed for case progress
  • Work with attorneys and administrative staff to follow firm processes, confirm next steps, and keep matters advancing efficiently
