Robert Half Legal is partnering with an established legal team in Westlake Village, California, to offer an exciting contract-to-hire opportunity for an experienced Paralegal. This role specializes in trust administration and probate and is ideal for candidates who thrive in a highly organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee trust administration and probate cases, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all required tasks
  • Prepare and file essential legal documents, including Form 706, supporting post-death trust administration
  • Track active cases to ensure progress, meet deadlines, and avoid stagnation
  • Collaborate closely with team members to streamline case management and reduce stress for clients
  • Maintain detailed records for all open cases, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and tracking important updates
  • Meet billable hour requirements and contribute to the operational goals of the firm
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients and stakeholders providing updates and resolving inquiries
  • Assist in maintaining a positive, organized workflow within a small office setting
  • Support the management of the firm’s trust and estate matters, including approximately 200 active cases
  • Work alongside the principal and support staff to achieve firm-wide objectives

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in trust administration and probate work
  • Demonstrated experience preparing and filing Form 706 and relevant legal documents
  • Superior organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to excel in a small, collaborative work environment
  • Proven capacity to manage multiple cases and effectively prioritize tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client and team interaction
  • Proficiency in legal case tracking and management systems
