We are looking for a skilled Trust and Estates Attorney to join our team in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. In this role, you will provide compassionate legal guidance to families during challenging times, assisting them in navigating estate planning and administration processes. This position offers a hybrid work model, combining in-office and remote flexibility, along with a competitive compensation and benefits package.
Job Responsibility:
Manage estate administration cases in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, overseeing all aspects from probate to conclusion
Facilitate the collection of assets and debts, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout the process
Prepare and file federal and state death tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns, and related documentation
Draft fiduciary accountings, settlement agreements, and other legal documents essential to estate administration
Handle the preparation and submission of tax forms, including 706, PA Rev-1500, 1041, PA-41, and US Gift Tax Return Form 709
Provide expert legal counsel to clients on estate planning strategies and solutions
Collaborate with internal teams to deliver exceptional service and ensure timely case resolution
Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to maintain compliance and deliver informed legal advice
Utilize legal software tools effectively to manage documents, spreadsheets, and case data
Maintain strong client relationships by delivering personalized and attentive service
Requirements:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
Valid bar license in New Jersey
At least 3 years of experience in estate planning and administration
Proficiency in preparing complex tax returns, including fiduciary and estate-related forms
Strong computer skills, including experience with document management systems and tax preparation software
Excellent client service abilities
Sound judgment and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Thorough understanding of estate law, tax regulations, and administrative procedures
Nice to have:
Pennsylvania licensure is a plus
