Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Trust Administrator to join our Cape Town office. The successful candidate will be responsible for the full statutory and regulatory compliance function for a portfolio of clients within the firm, in accordance with the Companies Act 71 of 2008, Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC) requirements, and other applicable legislation, while supporting the firm’s commitment to high professional and regulatory standards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys managing multiple deadlines, maintaining accurate records, and building strong client relationships within a professional services environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the administration and compliance requirements of a portfolio of trusts and related entities
  • Prepare and maintain trust records, resolutions, amendments and supporting documentation
  • Assist with trust registrations, amendments and changes to trust structures where required
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain accurate statutory records and compliance registers
  • Monitor compliance deadlines and ensure timely submissions and renewals
  • Assist with FICA, beneficial ownership, PAIA and POPIA compliance requirements
  • Liaise with clients, professional advisors and internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready records and documentation

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification in Company Secretarial Practice, Corporate Governance, Law, Accounting, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant company secretarial experience in a professional firm of chartered accountants, auditors, or corporate service providers
  • Demonstrated experience managing a portfolio of clients and full CIPC compliance processes
  • Understanding of trust administration and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of FICA, beneficial ownership reporting, PAIA and POPIA
  • Experience working with compliance systems and maintaining statutory records
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Professional communication and client relationship skills
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities
  • High levels of integrity, accountability and professionalism

Nice to have

  • Experience with ProfSec or similar compliance software
  • Experience within an accounting, fiduciary, legal or professional services firm
