Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Trust Accounting Associate to join our team in Los Angeles, California. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records related to client participation reporting and associated payments. As a Contract to permanent position, this opportunity offers growth potential in a dynamic work environment within the entertainment industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Review and analyze contracts and profit participation statements to ensure accurate financial documentation
  • Perform accounts receivable and accounts payable duties, including processing invoices and tracking payments
  • Follow up on outstanding client payments and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision and efficiency
  • Prepare customized Excel spreadsheets to support business and client needs
  • Conduct bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
  • Generate and manage billing statements to ensure timely payments and compliance
  • Collaborate with team members to address client requests and provide financial insights
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all accounting tasks
  • Assist in preparing reports and summaries for management review

Requirements

  • Familiarity with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
  • Proficiency in performing account reconciliations and bank reconciliations
  • Experience with accounting entries and financial data management
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage customized spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of billing practices and invoice processing
  • Previous experience in the entertainment industry is highly preferred
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial information
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment
