Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Trust Accountant to join our team on a contract to hire basis in Coopersburg, Pennsylvania. This role requires an experienced individual who is detail oriented, adept at managing trust accounts, preparing detailed financial reports, and maintaining compliance with fiduciary responsibilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage trust accounts by accurately recording financial transactions, including deposits, expenses, and payroll
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages for beneficiaries, ensuring clarity and transparency
  • Perform tax planning and file tax returns for trusts and estates, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and proper allocation of funds
  • Handle general ledger tasks, including journal entries and cash reconciliations, to maintain accurate financial records
  • Ensure compliance with fiduciary responsibilities and safeguard assets through meticulous recordkeeping
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate distributions and provide timely financial updates
  • Utilize QuickBooks to manage accounting tasks efficiently and produce high-quality reports

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Trust Accountant or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of fiduciary accounting
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Expertise in performing bank reconciliations, general ledger management, and journal entries
  • Solid knowledge of tax reporting and compliance for trusts and estates
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to organize complex financial data
  • Strong communication skills to prepare clear and detail-oriented financial reports
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a high level of experience and professionalism
