About the opportunity: Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic blue trucks to deliver for customers? As our unrestricted Medium Rigid Truck Driver, you’ll be the face of our trusted friendly StarTrack Townsville based business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that! This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday.

Job Responsibility:

  • Safely loading truck with freight for deliveries with teammates at the facility
  • Completing daily vehicle safety check
  • Driving modern trucks between operational centres and customers for deliveries and pick-ups
  • Returning to operational centres to unload pick-ups

Requirements:

  • Hold MR license
  • Hold forklift license (desirable not essential)
  • Be fit enough to load and unload freight items of all different shapes, sizes and weights
  • Be safety-focused and understand chain of responsibility
  • Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
  • Meet safe working load limit of weighing 120kgs or less
  • Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a driving assessment, a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening and national criminal history checks
