We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Truck Dispatcher to join our team in Blainville. You will be the central link between our drivers, customers, and brokers. Your goal is to maximize fleet efficiency, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain high driver satisfaction while navigating the daily challenges of the transportation industry.
Job Responsibility:
Fleet Coordination: Plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers for local, regional, and/or long-haul (LTL/FTL) routes
Monitoring & Support: Track driver locations and HOS (Hours of Service) in real-time using GPS and ELD systems
provide support during breakdowns or weather delays
Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing accurate ETAs and resolving delivery issues professionally
Load Management: Negotiate rates with brokers and utilize load boards (DAT, Truckstop) to minimize empty miles
Documentation: Prepare and manage customs paperwork (ACE/ACI manifests) for cross-border shipments, BOLs, and driver trip envelopes
Compliance: Ensure all drivers and equipment comply with DOT, MOT, and Quebec transportation regulations
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in truck dispatching or logistics coordination
Proficiency with TMS software (e.g., Isaac, TruckMate, or TMW) and Microsoft Office
Strong knowledge of Quebec and North American road networks
High school diploma
a DEC or AEC in Transport & Logistics is a significant asset
