Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Truck Dispatcher to join our team . You will be the central link between our drivers, customers, and brokers. Your goal is to maximize fleet efficiency, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain high driver satisfaction while navigating the daily challenges of the transportation industry.

Job Responsibility

  • Fleet Coordination: Plan, schedule, and dispatch drivers for local, regional, and/or long-haul (LTL/FTL) routes
  • Monitoring & Support: Track driver locations and HOS (Hours of Service) in real-time using GPS and ELD systems
  • provide support during breakdowns or weather delays
  • Client Relations: Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing accurate ETAs and resolving delivery issues professionally
  • Load Management: Negotiate rates with brokers and utilize load boards (DAT, Truckstop) to minimize empty miles
  • Documentation: Prepare and manage customs paperwork (ACE/ACI manifests) for cross-border shipments, BOLs, and driver trip envelopes
  • Compliance: Ensure all drivers and equipment comply with DOT, MOT, and Quebec transportation regulations

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in truck dispatching or logistics coordination
  • Proficiency with TMS software (e.g., Isaac, TruckMate, or TMW) and Microsoft Office
  • Strong knowledge of Quebec and North American road networks
  • High school diploma
  • a DEC or AEC in Transport & Logistics is a significant asset
