Job Description:

Seeking a talented individual who is passionate about the trucking industry and who posses leadership skills in Dispatching, must have French & English communication skills to be able to communicate with drivers and customers daily. As a Dispatch Manager, you will be responsible for supervising the dispatchers, as well as coordinating and ensuring the timely and efficient movement of goods, managing driver schedules and staff schedules. Strong communication, organizational and leadership skills are required!

  • Ensuring smooth operations: oversee scheduling, dispatching, and proactive planning to ensure on-time deliveries and resource optimization,
  • Monitor driver performance, safety, and compliance
  • Maintain accurate records in the TMS system and ensure road sheets are updated
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, clients, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Enhance customer experience by increasing punctuality and reducing missed pickups, rescheduling, and billing delays
  • Plan for business growth, seasonal fluctuations, and vacations while seeking cost-saving efficiencies across dispatch segments
  • Audit and improve driver and dispatcher performance through continuous training and regular evaluations

Requirements:

  • English and French (verbal & written) required
  • Minimum of 7 years in Dispatching (LTL, Containers, Vans, Straight Truck..)
  • Previous supervision / management experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Advancement problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
