Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and manage the dispatch team, provide mentorship, training and coaching
  • Fostering a positive environment
  • Ensuring smooth operations: oversee scheduling, dispatching, and proactive planning to ensure on-time deliveries and resource optimization
  • Monitor driver performance, safety, and compliance
  • Maintain accurate records in the TMS system and ensure road sheets are updated
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, drivers, clients, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes
  • Enhance customer experience by increasing punctuality and reducing missed pickups, rescheduling, and billing delays
  • Plan for business growth, seasonal fluctuations, and vacations while seeking cost-saving efficiencies across dispatch segments
  • Audit and improve driver and dispatcher performance through continuous training and regular evaluations

Requirements:

  • English and French (verbal & written) required to be able to communicate with clients outside of Quebec
  • Minimum of 7 years in Dispatching (LTL, Containers, Vans, Straight Truck..)
  • Previous supervision / management experience
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Advancement problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
