As a Trimmer, you will fasten seats, backs, and bases to various furniture types, ensuring every piece meets rigorous quality standards. Operating within the Manufacturing & Logistics field, you will use air drivers and hand tools to attach upholstery to finished frames and assemble complex motion bases. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production setting and takes pride in seeing a finished product come to life.

Job Responsibility

  • Choose the correct base, frame, and upholstery according to specific shipping labels
  • Attach and fasten proper upholstery to finished frames using wood screws and air-powered drivers
  • Assemble plastic and metal motion bases and controls for tilters as required
  • Level and glide all chairs and tables to ensure perfect stability and function
  • Maintain a production pace of approximately 3 to 8 chairs per hour depending on the style
  • Affix appropriate shipping labels and instruction sheets to completed products

Requirements

  • Proficiency in using air-powered screwdrivers and various hand tools
  • Strong manual dexterity and the ability to handle small components like wood screws
  • Keen eye for detail to make decisions regarding quality and workmanship
  • Ability to read and interpret shipping labels and assembly instruction sheets
  • Physical stamina for continuous standing and lifting materials between 20-30 lbs
  • Effective communication skills for inter-departmental coordination
