Job Description:

The Server Assistant assists the Server in providing an enjoyable dining experience to our guests while conforming to the restaurant’s standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. The position clears tables and resets them neatly, rapidly and completely according to specification. The Server Assistant assist with the serving of food, set-up and clearing of china, glass, and silver from service as well as attend to guest needs and requests.

Job Responsibility:

  • Stock linen, china, and silver for service ensuring that all are polished and in good condition
  • Clean soiled bar glassware and polish by properly utilizing the bar dish machine
  • Greet guests in a professional manner, serve beverage and food items while explaining the contents
  • Anticipate and service the guest’s needs before requests are necessary
  • Preparation of condiment and garnish items
  • Retrieve food from the kitchen using a tray and safely transport it to guest
  • Remove items from the guest’s table
  • Breakdown, clean and set-up of tables, buffets, and food stations

Requirements:

  • Must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to perform this position to the restaurant’s standards and learn the sequence of service
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request
  • At minimum 1 year previous experience in a fast paced food and beverage operation
  • Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
