Job Description

A San Ramon-based law firm with a strong practice in insurance coverage, business litigation, and complex civil disputes is seeking a Trial Preparation Paralegal to join the team on a contract basis. This role will provide hands-on support in a busy litigation environment, assisting attorneys through all stages of trial preparation on high-stakes matters.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead trial preparation efforts, including organizing exhibits, trial binders, and witness materials
  • Manage and maintain case files from pre-trial through trial
  • Assist with deposition preparation, summaries, and document organization
  • Support attorneys with discovery, document production, and case strategy preparation
  • Coordinate logistics for hearings, depositions, and trial proceedings
  • Prepare and manage trial exhibits and evidence in accordance with court requirements
  • Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
  • Provide on-site support during trial as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of civil litigation paralegal experience required
  • Prior hands-on trial preparation experience required
  • Experience supporting complex litigation matters (insurance coverage, business litigation, or similar preferred)
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, filings, and court rules
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional and collaborative, with strong communication skills
