We are looking for an experienced Trial Paralegal to join our team in Saint Louis, Missouri. This role involves supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation, from initial discovery to trial preparation and going to TRIAL. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of civil litigation processes.
Job Responsibility:
Coordinate and manage discovery processes, including document collection, review, and production
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness materials, and managing deadlines
Conduct legal research and compile case-related information to support litigation strategies
Maintain and update case files using case management software, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
Facilitate communication between attorneys, clients, and external parties throughout the litigation process
Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, subpoenas, and motions in compliance with court requirements
Attend trials and provide on-site support, including managing exhibits and ensuring smooth trial operations
Collaborate with the legal team to ensure timely progress on cases and adherence to deadlines
Handle cases related to asbestos litigation and plaintiff matters with attention to detail and sensitivity
Travel occasionally to assist with trial preparations and proceedings as needed
Requirements:
At least 7 years of experience as a detail-oriented paralegal in civil litigation
Proficiency in managing discovery processes and legal documentation
Expertise in trial preparation, including exhibit organization and witness materials
Strong knowledge of case management software and its applications
Familiarity with asbestos litigation and plaintiff-side cases
Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously
Effective communication skills for interacting with attorneys, clients, and external parties
Willingness to travel for trial-related responsibilities when necessary
