We are looking for an experienced Trial & E-Discovery Litigation Paralegal to support a busy legal team in Los Angeles, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate who can manage complex litigation matters, organize case materials, and contribute to trial readiness across multiple venues. Job Responsibility:
Coordinate litigation support activities from case opening through trial, ensuring deadlines, filings, and matter documentation remain organized and current
Manage discovery workflows by collecting, reviewing, and tracking large volumes of case documents and electronically stored information
Prepare trial materials, including exhibits, witness files, hearing binders, and other case-related documentation needed for court proceedings
Perform cite checking and verify the accuracy of legal references, supporting briefs, motions, and other substantive filings
Maintain and update information in case management platforms to help attorneys monitor progress, deadlines, and litigation strategy
Support e-discovery processes using Relativity and related tools for document review, production coordination, and records organization
Assist with filings and procedural requirements for matters in state, federal, and appellate courts, helping ensure compliance with court rules
Create and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and tracking logs in Microsoft Excel to monitor discovery status, key dates, and case activity.
Requirements:
At least 5 years of litigation paralegal experience with substantial involvement in civil litigation matters
Demonstrated background in trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, managing case files, and supporting attorneys before and during trial
Hands-on experience with e-discovery and document review platforms, including Relativity
Working knowledge of procedures and filing practices in state, federal, and appellate courts
Proficiency with case management software and the ability to maintain accurate matter records
Strong skills in cite checking, document organization, and reviewing detailed legal materials for accuracy
Advanced Microsoft Excel abilities for tracking case information, deadlines, and discovery data.
