Minimum of 7 years of experience in civil litigation
Experience in handling jury trials
Experience in insurance defense litigation is helpful

Job Responsibility

Handle all aspects of civil litigation processes from the beginning to verdict
Organize and prepare documents, evidence, and legal research for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions
Conduct thorough legal research on pertinent laws, regulations, and case precedents and prepare concise summaries and reports
Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents to support case progress
Interview clients and witnesses, draft summaries of their statements, and maintain communication records
Attend and actively participate in court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations and assist in informing clients about potential impacts on ongoing cases
Provide regular updates to clients regarding the status of their cases
Participate in meetings with clients to offer significant updates on their cases

Requirements

5+ years of personal injury trial experience
Strong litigation skills with experience in representing clients in court settings, specifically at trial
Knowledgeable in Personal Injury Law, and the CPLR
Admission to New York Bar
Excellent Legal Research skills to effectively analyze case law and statutes
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex legal concepts clearly
