Job Description

In this position, you will work closely with experienced trial attorneys on active, high-value cases. You will take on meaningful litigation responsibilities early in your career — not after years of support work — with a clearly defined path toward becoming a Lead Trial Attorney.

Job Responsibility

  • Draft substantive motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery
  • Conduct in-depth legal research that informs case strategy
  • Prepare cases for mediation and trial from the outset
  • Collaborate with expert witnesses on liability, damages, and medical issues
  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Gradually take ownership of depositions, motion arguments, and trial components
  • Maintain all files in a consistent trial-ready posture

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with Texas bar
  • 1-5 years of experience (litigation experience preferred)
  • Strong legal writing skills (motions, briefs, discovery, memoranda)
  • Demonstrated research and analytical capabilities
  • High level of ambition and strong work ethic
  • Coachable with a professional, team-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate with support staff
  • Familiarity with applicable civil procedure and rules of evidence preferred

Nice to have

Spanish language skills are a plus
