At the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), we are committed to protecting the public and upholding high professional standards. We are currently seeking a Triage Officer to join our dynamic team, responsible for receiving, accurately assessing and progressing concerns regarding our registrants’ fitness to practise.
Job Responsibility:
Receive, manage and respond effectively to a range of enquiries from applicants, registrants and members of the public, ensuring a high standard of customer service
Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of the HCPC’s policies and standards to ensure accurate and high-quality advice is provided to callers
Accurately review new fitness to practise concerns and conduct proportionate and timely initial enquiries to inform a triage decision
Manage a complex caseload whilst ensuring timely triage decisions on your cases
Identify high-risk concerns and ensure that these are prioritised and progressed for action
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, case files, systems and databases to ensure the effective management of your work
Requirements:
Experience managing a high volume, varied caseload
Experience working within, and applying a framework of legislation and defined polices and guidance, including making sound evidence-based decision
Experience supporting and managing challenging or vulnerable customers
Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment while meeting service standards and performance indicators
