We are looking for a part-time Treasury Assistant to complement the existing finance team in central Guildford. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our finance function delivers a high-quality service to the wider business. You will be primarily responsible for day-to-day treasury functions including cashing up and bank reconciliations, whilst also providing support across the broader departmental duties. The position is for 20-25 hours per week, and we are happy to discuss working patterns that work for you – whether that is working full days, or shorter shifts across the 5-day working week. Our finance team are office-based at our store in central Guildford, therefore applicants must be within a commutable distance of Guildford in order to be considered.
Job Responsibility:
Cash up and re-float all store tills
Bank reconciliations and Cash Book Ledger Postings
Credit Card & Paypal reconciliations
Consumer Credit payment posting and allocations
Petty Cash Reconciliations and re-float
Bank Transaction Analysis for cash flow forecasting
Sales invoice distribution to account customers
Sales ledger cash allocation
Customer query investigation and resolution
Assisting with Credit Control tasks
General administration duties
Requirements:
Office experience preferably in treasury/accounts or data administrative role
Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Excel
Some experience of using standard computerised accounts packages
Outstanding attention to detail and numeric aptitude
Dependable, flexible and able to work to tight deadlines
Good Communication Skills
High level of organisation and resilience
Experience in a retail business or similar high volume business
