As a Treasury Accountant in our team, you will be responsible for managing Northpower’s cash, liquidity, banking relationships, and treasury operations. You’ll ensure our financial assets and liabilities are managed effectively and in line with our policies and regulatory obligations. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys financial analysis, problem solving, and process improvement while contributing to the financial stability and long-term performance of the organisation.
Job Responsibility:
Monitor daily cash balances and coordinate cash movements
Forecast and analyse cash flow and liquidity trends
Execute payments, transfers, and treasury transactions accurately
Maintain strong relationships with banks and external partners
Negotiate banking services and manage associated costs
Recommend improvements to banking structures and controls
Identify and mitigate financial risks (FX, interest rates, credit risk)
Ensure compliance with regulations and internal controls
Support development of risk management strategies and policies
Provide financial insights to support treasury decision making
Prepare liquidity, cash flow, and treasury reports for management
Recommend improvements to enhance financial performance
Manage treasury management systems and software
Maintain treasury policies, procedures, and documentation
Assist with treasury related projects and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage and issue purchase cards
Review and monitor usage for compliance to company policies

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
CPA or CA certification (preferred)
2–3 years’ experience in treasury, finance, or related roles
Strong understanding of cash management and financial instruments
Proficiency in Excel, treasury management systems (TMS) and hedge accounting packages
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
