Job Description:

THIS ROLE SUPPORTS A HIGH-VOLUME CLEANING OPERATION REQUIRING RESOURCES TO INSPECT AND CLEAN PLASTIC TRAYS USED IN MANUFACTURING AND LOGISTICS PROCESSES. PALLETS OF TRAYS ARE AUTOMATICALLY DELIVERED TO THE DESIGNATED CLEANING AREA FOR INSPECTION AND RECONDITIONING. THE TEAM WILL ENSURE TRAYS MEET CLEANLINESS AND QUALITY STANDARDS BEFORE BEING RETURNED TO USE. EACH PALLET CONTAINS 100 TRAYS, AND EACH TRAY MUST BE INDIVIDUALLY INSPECTED. TRAYS WITH DEBRIS ARE CLEANED USING COMPRESSED AIR OR IPA WIPES. DAMAGED TRAYS ARE DISCARDED. EACH TRAY WEIGHS APPROXIMATELY 2.5 KG. APPROXIMATELY 2,000 PALLETS WILL NEED TO BE PROCESSED, WITH AN EXPECTATION OF CLEANING ABOUT 90 PALLETS PER DAY ON A 24/7 SCHEDULE.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supports a high-volume cleaning operation requiring resources to inspect and clean plastic trays used in manufacturing and logistics processes
  • Ensure trays meet cleanliness and quality standards before being returned to use

Requirements:

  • Follow all site safety policies and procedures for the assigned work area
  • Use material handling equipment to move pallets from staging to inspection areas while following safety requirements
  • Complete training on the approved tray cleaning protocol prior to performing independent work
  • Inspect each tray thoroughly, including internal surfaces, all four sides, bottom of the tray
  • Perform actions based on inspection results: segregate and discard damaged trays, clean dirty trays using compressed air or IPA wipes, place clean trays onto approved pallets
  • Stack trays properly: 4 stacks of 25 trays per pallet
  • Once a pallet is complete: place the lid on top, wipe the lid with IPA wipes
  • Maintain productivity targets and quality standards to meet daily throughput goals
  • Ability to lift and handle trays weighing approximately 2.5 kg repeatedly
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive inspection and cleaning tasks
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, production-style environment
  • Safety-focused and detail-oriented
  • Able to follow SOPs and cleaning protocols consistently

Nice to have:

Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or GMP environments is a plus but not required
