As a Travelling Workplace Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering essential training and professional development to staff across remote locations to enhance local employment and career pathways.

Job Responsibility:

  • Deliver workplace training programs across various ALPA sites and remote community locations
  • Facilitate learning that supports local employment, training, and career advancement for First Nations people
  • Adapt training delivery styles to meet the needs of people from all education levels, language abilities, and ethnic origins
  • Collaborate with Site Managers and community leadership to identify specific training gaps and requirements
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training delivery to ensure learning outcomes are achieved
  • Ensure all training activities align with ALPA's core values of respect, integrity, and community empowerment
  • Maintain accurate records of staff training progress and competencies within internal business systems
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that prioritizes workplace health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or equivalent is essential
  • Previous experience in retail environments is highly desirable
  • Educational background in human, social, or community services
  • Proven experience working with First Nations people in remote environments is viewed favorably
  • Advanced competence in the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication for various audiences
  • Demonstrated respect for the cultural heritage and aspirations of remote communities
  • Resilience and flexibility to travel frequently and adapt to different community settings and living conditions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Northern Territory driving license
  • Ability to travel via 4WD on unsealed roads and small light aircraft (subject to a 140kg weight limit for aviation safety)
  • Willingness to undergo necessary background checks for working in remote Indigenous communities
