As a Travelling Support Officer, you will ensure the continuous delivery of essential services by providing high-quality leave and vacancy relief across various key positions in Arnhem Land.
Job Responsibility:
Provide critical relief for Site Managers, Employment Consultants, Activity Coordinators, and Project Coordinators
Support the delivery of the NIAA's Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES) program
Travel frequently to different ALPA communities via 4WD or light aircraft
Adapt quickly to new community settings and living conditions to ensure operational excellence
Manage resources effectively, including time, travel logistics, and community engagement activities
Maintain strong communication with teams to set clear expectations and foster collaboration
Champion safety leadership by proactively identifying risks and upholding work health and safety standards
Requirements:
Educational background in human, social, or community services
Proven experience in roles such as Employment Consultant, Site Manager, or Activity Coordinator within the RAES/CDP system
Strong interpersonal abilities with the capacity to adapt communication to various education levels and cultural origins
Demonstrated respect for the cultural heritage, dignity, and aspirations of First Nations communities
Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges in dynamic and remote work environments
Previous experience working with First Nations people or prior experience in the Northern Territory is highly regarded
Ability to obtain and maintain a Northern Territory driving license
Ability to travel by light aircraft
