As a Travelling Support Technician, you will be the hands-on technical expert ensuring vital technology remains operational for our remote communities, retail stores, and corporate offices.
Job Responsibility
Install and maintain a variety of simple key technologies including POS systems, CCTV cameras, NVRs, and networking equipment
Support end-user devices such as desktops, laptops, and associated software
Perform basic network resolutions including port testing, re-terminations, and WAP diagnostics
Assist the Help Desk team using ITIL-aligned processes for incident and asset management when not travelling
Maintain accurate records of hardware configurations and contribute to the internal knowledge base
Provide high-quality customer service by communicating technical information clearly to non-technical users
Travel to remote communities via light aircraft and 4WD to perform technical maintenance, troubleshooting, and product installation
Requirements
Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
4+ years of hands on experience in computer hardware and software, professionally or through personal endeavours
Familiar with Service Desk or Helpdesk environments
Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on customer service
Ability and willingness to travel to remote First Nations communities, willingness to travel upwards of 60 days throughout a year
Confidence using hand and power tools
Relevant working history, including Permanent Residency within Australia
Current Australian Driver's Licence
Ability to obtain necessary clearances for remote community work
