Job Responsibility

Perform physical labor, including (but not limited to) placing pipe in and out of ditches
Position, join, align and seal pipe for water, sanitary sewer, storm drains, etc.
Mix, smooth and finish concrete on occasion
Work with compounds and spray materials such as water, sand, steam, vinyl, paint, etc.
Work year-round, 40-60 hours/week during peak season
Work outdoors in an uncontrolled climate in all types of weather
Measure distances, level earth to fine grade specifications
Generally work Monday – Friday, weekends only when necessary
Seasonal snow removal
Receive on-the-job training

2 – 3 Years of Experience
High school or equivalent education
Valid Driver’s License
Previous experience and knowledge of underground utility construction preferred
Subject to pre-employment drug test and MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) Report
Ability to operate all equipment safely and productively
Knowledge and understanding of reading drawings and ability to follow specifications
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with crew, leadership, and clients

Job Responsibility

Assist in the loading/unloading of equipment, materials and supplies needed for daily work
Must assist leadership (Superintendent and/or Foreman) with all duties
Must be able to operate tamps, jackhammers, core drills, concrete saws, and other miscellaneous equipment safely
Hand dig with shovels, picks, digging bars to expose located utilities, access u/g vaults and pedestals, and complete trenches
Place conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduits sections (install couplers) as directed, place anchors, pedestal, vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks
Fully restore worksite at completion of work, refill trenches and holes, tamp soil, replant any plants or shrubs that were disturbed during our construction, place temporary asphalt on streets where excavations have been performed
When required and if appropriately licensed and authorized, drive or operate construction equipment used on the jobsite to complete daily work assignments
Clean and maintain all company vehicles and equipment assigned for use
Capable of working in all temperatures and climates
Able to perform physical tasks for the entire assigned work shift

At least 1+ years experience
Must be available to work long periods including evenings and weekends when necessary
Ability to stand, walk, sit

Job Responsibility

Identify and mark the location of underground utilities such as water, gas, electric, and telecommunications lines
Operate excavation equipment (Mini excavator, trencher, bore machine hydro-vac, etc)
Walk and confirm bore path with bore operator, spot utilities
Ensure proper clearances to install the product per standards
Record the depth of the tool head as required (bore logs)
Ensure the drill head is in a good position at the exit pit to connect the product
Oversee laborer's and/or crew members' work and monitor time usage
Place conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduits sections (install couplers) as directed, and place ground rods, pedestals, vaults, etc. to complete construction tasks
