ESI's Superintendent assumes a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day functions of construction sites and projects. With the authority to facilitate daily coordination and guidance for work execution, they ensure its safety, adherence to budget, timely completion, alignment with the company's quality standards, effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders, and ensure overall customer satisfaction. Their responsibilities encompass meticulous planning and scheduling of activities, coordinating with subcontractors, and being a direct leadership representative.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to create detailed short interval project schedules and plans
Organize and coordinate resources, materials, and subcontractors to meet project milestones
Regularly participate in Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings
Oversee and direct construction activities on the site
Manage and supervise a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and other personnel
Provide guidance and support to the workforce
Communicate expectations, enforce policies, and complete/submit records
Develop/modify JHA’s for the project and provide JHA training
Identify needs for training and communicate with Safety Team
Complete work area inspections and conduct weekly safety meetings
Monitor and maintain quality standards
Monitor project budgets and expenses
Identify potential cost-saving measures
Generate regular progress reports and communicate updates
Keep detailed records of all construction activities, changes, and project-related documentation
Address and resolve any issues or challenges
Proactively identify potential roadblocks and work on preventive measures
Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permits
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
3-5 years’ Construction Superintendent experience is preferred but not required
Comprehensive understanding of plans, specifications, and building codes
