The Traveling Service Technician role offers a unique opportunity to install and service refractory products at customer locations across the U.S., supporting industries that rely on extreme temperature manufacturing. In this mobile, hands-on technical role, you will work directly inside kilns, furnaces, and industrial systems—installing brick, performing tear outs, executing mechanical repairs, operating equipment, and supporting precision measurement and audit activities. With significant autonomy, you’ll troubleshoot onsite, collaborate with teammates, and represent RHI Magnesita in a highly professional manner while traveling up to 80% of the time. Job Responsibility:
Install brick shapes and combinations in rotary kilns
Key and lock brick rings using pneumatic brick rig equipment
Perform welding, cutting, grinding, anchor installation, forming, and pouring
Apply refractory materials using gunite and shotcrete systems
