Job Description:

The Traveling Quality Inspector is a vital part of the first line of defense to keep the assembly process running smoothly.

Job Responsibility:

  • Check/inspect manufactured parts or products for defects
  • Read and follow work instructions and general processes
  • Use measuring or testing equipment as needed
  • Ensure products meet quality standards
  • Bring parts into compliance by de-burring, de-rusting, grinding, etc.
  • Utilize gages and other measurement tools
  • Display excellent customer service
  • Collect and record data
  • Utilize company portal for time recording and policy acknowledgements
  • Any other duties as assigned
  • Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed with variable lengths of time and distances

Requirements:

  • Must be based near or around Wichita, KS
  • Must comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools such as gaging, drills, taps, grinders and/or sanders to repair and/or clean parts and/or sub-assemblies
  • Must be able to read basic blueprints to determine tolerance of parts and/or sub-assemblies
  • High School Diploma Required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tools, practices, and industry quality standards
  • Demonstrated expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Understanding of database principles and knowledge of MS Access
  • Basic knowledge of materials and production processes
  • Basic knowledge of quality control methods
