Job Description:

The Assistant Superintendent Intern will play a key role in supporting construction projects by working alongside subcontractors, architects, engineers, and project management teams. Throughout the internship, you will gain hands-on experience in the field, enhancing your skills in project management, estimating, and site operations. This internship is designed to provide a dynamic learning experience where responsibilities grow as the project progresses.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with a project team to ensure timely and budget-conscious completion of construction projects
  • Assist in managing on-site subcontractors, ensuring smooth operations and communication
  • Participate in the oversight of project schedules and budget management
  • Learn and apply Quality Best Practices to ensure project standards are met or exceeded
  • Promote and maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols
  • Gain valuable exposure by interacting with industry professionals such as subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners
  • Demonstrate eagerness to learn and adapt, with an increasing level of responsibility throughout the internship

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a similar construction program
  • A GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Willingness to take initiative and demonstrate leadership potential
  • Willing to travel to any state in the U.S.

  • Assists the Functional Lead in developing effective and efficient logistics policies and procedures and in ensuring compliance with DOD and USAF directives
  • Supervises the receipt, storage and issue of material for all assigned GPMS projects
  • Evaluates supply efficiency through inspections and computer prepared management products
  • Supervises all inventories and performs limited inspections ensuring supplies and equipment have had quality assurance inspections completed and that Medical Logistics computer system (DMLSS) records have been updated
  • Supervises subordinate activities on all warehouse phases for storage of medical GPMS and subsistence
  • Ensures all material is stored and located in accordance with all supply, warehouse and HAZMAT disposition directives
  • Ensures the timely and effective reporting and disposition of excess material and ensures the effective management of expiration dated items
  • Supervises the out shipment of GPMS for deployment and the reconstitution of assets when returned
  • Assigns personnel to work positions, determines manpower levels as work requirements change and reassigns personnel accordingly to gain maximum mission effectiveness
  • Supervises Bio-Medical Maintenance Technicians (BMET), verifies monthly maintenance goals are achieved, TMDE program is managed properly and DMLSS data entry is accomplished IAW with governing regulations
