Job Description

This full-time Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity offers a unique role supporting high school students with specialized medical needs in a school and travel setting near Easton, MD. The RN will provide essential nursing care both during the school day and while accompanying a student on the bus between home and school. This specialized position is ideal for an experienced Maryland-licensed RN comfortable working in dynamic environments that blend school nursing with travel responsibilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide nursing care and medical support to high school students requiring full-time nursing assistance
  • Accompany a student with medical needs on the bus to and from school to ensure their health and safety
  • Support additional students requiring nursing coverage during the school day
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers to maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Document nursing care and communicate any changes in student condition promptly

Requirements

  • Current and active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in school nursing or pediatric nursing preferred
  • Ability to manage health needs in transit and school settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable and able to commit to a full-time schedule (approximately 37 hours per week) during the 2026-2027 school year
