Job Description

The Product Designer develops innovative travel products to suit the needs of current and prospective Discova clients. You will stay up to date on new customer trends and emerging opportunities, providing insight and product development direction so that the product offering at Discova leads the market. You will know our product range inside out and be able to quickly address any gaps in the portfolio. You possess strong commercial acumen, ensuring products are both competitively priced and highly profitable. Sitting at an integral cross-section, you will fully realise the company’s strategic vision by ensuring that Discova’s authentic, local, and experiential product range stands out from the crowd.

Job Responsibility

  • Design and develop competitive, commercially viable travel products (day tours, experiences, multi-day itineraries) aligned with brand standards
  • Conduct market research, benchmarking, and monitor global travel trends to continuously improve product offerings
  • Manage and optimize the product portfolio based on customer segments, demand, and performance metrics (search, enquiries, bookings)
  • Identify and address gaps in product range across destinations and travel themes
  • Oversee the full product lifecycle from concept, costing, and development to launch and ongoing optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, contracting, and operations teams to ensure product quality, relevance, and market fit
  • Support sales by contributing to agent proposals, tenders, and product presentations
  • deliver product training to internal teams and partners
  • Maintain high-quality product content, itineraries, pricing, and documentation
  • ensure accuracy and timely system updates (e.g., Tourplan)
  • Ensure all products meet safety, quality, and company standards through inspections and supplier coordination
  • Conduct product familiarization trips and continuously enhance product knowledge sharing across teams

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or 5 years’ experience in product development and management
  • Comprehensive travel industry and Discova destination knowledge
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Extensive travel to or in our destinations or prior experience living in them in is a plus
  • Strong customer care focus
  • An approachable, open-minded personality with great interpersonal and communication skills
  • Pro-active and solution focused, turning problems into a resolution quickly
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to adapt and adjust to changes fluidly
  • Able to work independently but also collaborate in a team environment to help everyone achieve high quality results
  • Willing to travel on business when required
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and Discova’s systems
  • Personally aligned with Discova’s company purpose and values
