At Flight Centre, our Travel Consultants spend their days having meaningful customer conversations, converting enquiries into bookings, and working toward clear sales targets while earning commission on every sale. You will work in a fast paced, customer facing retail environment where personality, performance, and customer experience all matter. This role is rewarding, but it’s not easy, especially in your first few months. You will be learning multiple systems, navigating a wide range of products, and managing high volume customer conversations, all while building confidence in a dynamic retail environment. Job Responsibility:
Convert customer enquiries into confirmed bookings through consultative sales conversations
Work toward individual KPIs and sales targets, earning commission on every sale
Sell end to end travel solutions including flights, accommodation, tours, cruises, car hire, transfers, and travel insurance
Build a loyal base of new and repeat customers - from simple domestic trips to complex international holidays
Manage multiple customers and communication channels at once (in-store, phone, email) in a fast-paced retail environment
Use booking systems and supplier tools to quote, upsell, book, and follow up accurately and efficiently
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in travel sales
Experience using Sabre GDS preferred
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing, target-driven sales role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets and upselling products or services
Strong communication skills and confidence selling in person and over the phone
High attention to detail and strong computer skills, with confidence using multiple, complex systems
International travel experience
High school diploma or higher
Availability to work full-time hours, including evenings and weekends
