This position is responsible for the development, coordination, delivery, evaluation and monitoring of trauma education and initiatives that is designed to enhance the clinical skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals. This role involves: 1.) collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the Trauma PIPS program, ACS standards of care and evidence-based practices are integrated into patient care and professional development to provide optional care for the injured patient; 2.) expertise in adult learning theory and multi-generational learning principles to promote quality educational programs; and 3.) being an expert resource and liaison. The Trauma Program Coordinator will closely work with the Trauma Program Quality Coordinator in supporting and assisting in identifying and prioritizing performance improvement and patient safety opportunities within the trauma program.

Requirements
College Degree - 4 year In Nursing (required)
Masters Degree Public Health, Health Administration, Nursing or related (preferred)
RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required)
BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
TNCC - Trauma Nurse Core Course - ENA - Emergency Nurses Association within 12 months of hire or transfer into position (required)
ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses - STN - Society of Trauma Nurses within 12 months of hire or transfer into position (required)
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association (preferred)
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association (preferred)
TCRN - Trauma Certified Registered Nurse - BCEN - Board of Certification for Emergency Nursing (preferred)
Minimum three (3) years Critical care, ED and/or trauma experience (required)
Computer Skills Demonstrated progressive computer and presentation skills
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level clinical problem-solving and critical thinking skills are a must
