As a key figure within a close-knit team of four professionals, you will orchestrate approximately 1,200 transport movements per month via sea and inland waterways. You combine operational excellence with a keen eye for legislation to implement the most efficient and sustainable logistical solutions from our brand-new headquarters. In this role, you are given the autonomy to act as an entrepreneur, automate processes, and contribute to the international growth of an innovative industry leader.

Job Responsibility:

  • Organize and optimize sea and inland waterway solutions for various commercial files, with a strong focus on efficiency
  • Ensure all maritime operations strictly comply with current environmental and waste legislation as well as internal quality standards
  • Manage transport costs, conduct sharp price negotiations for routes, and ensure accurate invoicing
  • Identify opportunities to automate transport flows and elevate 'operational excellence' to the next level
  • Maintain close contact with internal departments and external partners to build sustainable collaborations
  • Collaboratively manage the logistical mailbox and provide backup for road transport coordination when necessary

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in an international transport environment
  • Preferably with expertise in maritime shipments
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • Proficiency in French is considered a strong asset
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Preferably have experience working with ERP systems
