Transporter

• Provide essential assistance and transportation for patients and related items across our campus, ensuring a highly customer-sensitive and seamless experience
• Promptly and safely transport inpatients and outpatients to and from various hospital areas
• Meticulously confirm patient identification, greet and assist in transferring patients, and make conscious observations of patient condition during transport, reporting any issues to appropriate personnel
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and report any malfunctioning equipment
• Assist with cleaning of equipment and maintenance of department
• may exchange oxygen tanks and/or attach IV’s to wheelchairs or gurneys as necessary
• Escort patient at the time of discharge from their room to personal transportation
• Maintain a safe work and patient environment, adhering to the hospital’s Safety, Risk Management, Regulatory Standards and infection prevention
• Provide Client and Patient Relations
• Follow hospital department protocols for checking in patients and verifying their identity and following specific precautions identified
• Alert caregivers immediately to any signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction

• One year recent work-related work experience
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

in a hospital setting
