Job Description:

As our Patient Transporter, you will provide essential assistance and transportation for patients and related items across our campus, ensuring a highly customer-sensitive and seamless experience.

Job Responsibility:

  • Promptly and safely transport inpatients and outpatients to and from various hospital areas
  • Confirm patient identification, greet and assist in transferring patients
  • Make conscious observations of patient condition during transport, reporting any issues to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Report any malfunctioning equipment
  • Observation of equipment condition, cleanliness, and repair needs of equipment
  • Immediately report any repair needs to appropriate leadership
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with other department staff to prioritize service requests
  • Maintains strong working relationships with other units and departments to ensures a cohesive team effort exists at all times
  • Utilizes all security practices to maintain the safety of the patient
  • Maintains a careful understanding of transporting through any areas under construction, detours, wet or broken pavement, or other patient movement that may be affected by weather

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate General Studies or equivalent technical training., upon hire
  • High School GED General Studies or equivalent technical training., upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR (AHA), upon hire

Nice to have:

  • Previous Patient Transport or Guest Services experience
  • Two years Patient Transport experience
