The Transportation Project Manager will be responsible for enabling Integrated Transportation Management Planning and Carrier Collaboration Platform for managing Domestic and International Freight-in/out across SAP and JDE North America systems. The Project Manager will need to build effective relationships with stakeholders such as Business Partners, Project Owner, Business Analyst, Vendors, and End-users regarding project requirements. The Project Manager must be versed in adherence to BD’s project methodology and regulatory compliance followed for all systems implementations. The experienced Project Manager will drive the successful implementation and work across multiple streams within the Integrated Supply Chain user community. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal customers. Is committed to meeting internal customers’ expectations and needs while applying the concepts of objectivity and transparency.
Job Responsibility:
Enable Integrated Transportation Management Planning and Carrier Collaboration Platform for managing Domestic and International Freight-in/out across SAP and JDE North America systems
Build effective relationships with stakeholders such as Business Partners, Project Owner, Business Analyst, Vendors, and End-users regarding project requirements
Adhere to BD’s project methodology and regulatory compliance followed for all systems implementations
Drive the successful implementation and work across multiple streams within the Integrated Supply Chain user community
Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal customers
Commit to meeting internal customers’ expectations and needs while applying the concepts of objectivity and transparency
Liaison with stakeholders such as Product Owner, Business Analyst, Product Manager, Vendors, and End-users regarding project requirements
Manage project milestones to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, quality, and scope of project
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation according to the BD’s project management life cycle guidelines
Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track the progress of the project including scope, critical success factors, deliverables, work breakdown structure, project schedule, budget, quality, resource plan, stakeholder management, and communications
Manage scope change requests and coordinate with the Project Owner for further action
Coordinate with business stakeholders and vendors for the seamless execution of projects
Measure project performance using appropriate project management tools
Perform risk management analysis to reduce project risks
Report and escalate risks to the management, as needed
Prepare project status reports in coordination with the other PMO members
Requirements:
5 – 7 years of project management work experience using PMBOK guidelines
BS in business administration or project management with 6 years working in a global manufacturing company in FDA regulated environment
Demonstrated experience in driving projects from initiation through closure
Has technical and practical knowledge of the core Program Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) concepts and principles (e.g., agile, work breakdown structure, waterfall planning)
Skilled in establishing detailed scope, schedule, resources, and budget using standard project tools (MS Project/SharePoint/etc.)
Experienced establishing and following controls to manage scope change and reporting project schedule/budget performance
Experience managing Transportation projects in an ERP environment with a structured SDLC release cycle, with integration to external TMS/WMS applications
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Project, SharePoint
ACP, SCRUM Certification, PMP, PgMP, Prince II, or equivalent
Experience working with Transportation within the Integrated Supply Chain functional area involving ERP systems with associated release schedules
Has technical knowledge and communication proficiency to engage with external customers and suppliers
