Your advanced experience will be applied across projects for local, county, and state clients. Job Responsibility:
Lead the development of roadway designs, ADA ramp designs, signalized and roundabout intersection designs, geometric studies, intersection design studies, traffic studies, traffic management analyses, opinions of probable cost, and traffic staging plans
Develop site layouts along with grading and drainage designs, utility development, site preparation and demolition, soil erosion and sedimentation control, and construction detail plans
Work with – and follow the design standards and requirements of – the Iowa Department of Transportation, other state departments of transportation, county highway departments, and municipalities to complete designs
Complete transportation-related projects for public municipal facilities, public and private school projects, and private developments, including multi-residential, mixed-use, and commercial properties
Utilize OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, AutoTurn, and / or other programs to create client deliverables
Develop technical specifications and special provisions for project documents
Provide grant application and funding documentation support
Potentially assist with field inspections, data collection, and construction observation to support design development and construction
Coordinate with Klingner staff members, subconsultants, clients, and other key stakeholders
Complete other tasks as required
Requirements:
Must be a licensed Professional Engineer
hold a bachelor of science in civil engineering
have experience working with the Iowa Department of Transportation
