Transportation Construction Inspector

• Complete inspection and documentation of a wide variety of construction activities by the contractor confirming all work is being done in accordance with specifications
• Review and interpret contract and job specifications
• Maintain daily paperwork in accordance with clients’ requirements

• Perform math calculations
• Proficient computer skills
• Detail oriented
• A valid driver’s license is required
• Physical requirements
• Stand for extended periods of time
• Walk several miles per day
• Work in the outdoors in various weather conditions
• Work various shifts including overtime as needed
• Travel to project sites
• 2 years minimum of transportation, highway or bridge construction inspection experience
• or 4 years minimum of highway or bridge construction
• Associates Degree or higher in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• or Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering field

Preferred but not required certifications - NICET highway construction level II, PennDOT concrete, NECEPT bituminous
