Job Responsibility

  • Responsible for duties associated with the preparation of all outbound dispatching for deliveries to customers
  • Work closely with drivers, supervisors and Transportation Manager
  • Verify customer invoices
  • Assemble outbound paperwork, print invoices
  • Record and collate COD information on bills of lading, drivers manifest, logs, and inspection sheets
  • Ensure documents are completed and approved properly
  • Provide clerical assistance as needed
  • Maintain weekly and monthly transportation reports
  • Assist sales with tracing orders, and re-routing orders if needed
  • Complete and audit driver’s daily activity reports
  • Record all COD information on bills of lading
  • Sort, file, fax, copy and/or distribute paperwork
  • Must maintain good attendance
  • Maintain safe work practices
  • Maintain safeguards of confidential company information
  • Other duties and special projects as requested

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous clerical experience and knowledge of operations and transportation functions preferred
  • Must be proficient with MS Office
  • Strong data-entry with high rate of accuracy preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Excellent communication, grammar, verbal and writing skills
  • Must be resourceful and well organized with an ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision
  • Above average telephone skills with experience focusing on customer satisfaction (internal and external)
  • High energy level, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible

Nice to have

Bilingual in Spanish a plus
