The Transportation Analyst offers a great opportunity for a self-starter eager to make an impact in healthcare by managing vital product movement throughout the supply chain. The Transportation Analyst will be responsible for overseeing product movement from our various plants (domestic & international) into the US and Canada. This role will work closely with our carrier partners, distribution centers, and cross-functional team members to ensure supply continuity. This role is encouraged to complete operations as planned and deliver efficiencies within the supply chain through ongoing improvement initiatives. Making decisions based on data and collaborating with various participants are essential qualities for success in this role.
Job Responsibility:
Build open lines of daily communication with our carrier partners across regions and various transportation modes to efficiently move Baxter products and drive operational excellence
Drive carrier performance by managing critical metrics and proactively resolving operational issues
Conduct data analysis to aid data-driven decision making
Perform ad hoc transportation analysis and apply cost reduction initiatives to achieve continuous improvement projects
Take part in business reviews and support long-term capacity and network strategy plans for Baxter global network
Collaborate internally with Planning, Customer Service, Warehousing, Freight Audit, and other internal collaborators as needed
Present updates to our Transportation Leadership Team with clear timing and deliverables
Develop innovative analytic solutions to measure business performance
identify/quantify drivers, risks, and opportunities and define solutions to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities
Participate in and contribute to projects to develop tools and organization capabilities to support a data-driven supply chain
Own assigned tasks and resolve general problems with minimal mentorship
Act as subject matter expert and train others to use core data tools
Build and update Tableau visualizations to support visualization and analysis of supply chain optimization outputs
Develop and confirm network models, refine scenarios, and support analysis of results to address complex supply chain questions
Coordinate across multiple functions and collaborators to collect, validate, and prepare data on an annual basis to refresh network optimization models
Influence collaborators to adopt new ideas, projects, and/or approaches
Help core teams manage program/project requirements, scope, activities, and achievements related to supply chain
Support standard program/project management tasks, priorities, and capacity requirements related to supply chain
Assist with the build-out of internal processes and procedures to support supply chain strategy
Update and maintain models in Microsoft Office Products, and scenario-based planning models & systems integration
Requirements:
Lean/six sigma training and certification preferred
Experience with JDE and SAP
ERP experience
TMS experience
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and can operate with a considerable degree of freedom
Good planning and project management skills
Must be able to effectively engage and communicate with all levels of management and employees within the company
Must be able to function effectively in a group setting
Possess a broad knowledge of business operations (principles, practices, and procedures). APICS certification is a plus
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Advanced Excel, intermediate to advanced level of SQL
Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field or equivalent experience preferred
A minimum of 3 years' experience in Supply Chain, healthcare services, and/or specialty pharmacy service
More than 2 years of experience contributing to large-scale or complex projects
Knowledge of methodologies for quantitative and qualitative analysis
