We’re looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor based at our Kingston office, to lead the safe, efficient operation of our internal transport fleet across the Greater Brisbane metro area. In this role, you’ll be responsible for supervising drivers, ensuring fleet and compliance standards are met, and optimising fleet utilisation — all while delivering exceptional service to our customers. Job Responsibility:

Leading and promoting Coates’ Safety-First culture across transport hubs and customer interactions
Supervising company drivers, including inductions, toolbox talks, compliance, uniforms and performance management
Ensuring driver and vehicle compliance with CoR requirements and internal processes
Managing driver labour costs, reviewing overtime and supporting efficient workforce planning
Overseeing fleet maintenance records, coordinating servicing and repairs, and liaising with R&M providers
Working closely with Transport Managers, Allocations and Branch Operations to resolve issues and deliver customer outcomes
Identifying and implementing best practices to improve safety, efficiency and cost control in transport operations

Requirements:

Experience in a similar supervisory role within the transport, logistics or fleet environment
Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage, coach and motivate teams
A strong customer-focused mindset
Professional communication skills and solid computer capability
A current driver’s licence

Nice to have:

Mechanical aptitude or understanding of heavy vehicle maintenance
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends
